Jackie's Life in Surrey: Mosaic Monday- Willow tree Figures

I have a small collection of these figures which I have bought this year. I am not one for too many ornaments, dust collectors to me, but I like these. They are Willow tree by Susan Lordi, see here.Click on a photograph to see it in full size. I usually have them sitting on my kitchen window sill but for photographic purposes, ( sounds good) I moved them to a working surface and used a black file to stand them on!! I am actually posing my figurines, I have got to get a life!!Artist Susan Lordi hand carves each original Willow Tree® sculpture, they are made in China. Expression is revealed through gestures only... a tilt of the head, placement of the hands, a turn of the body. The simplicity of form and the absence of facial features signify Willow Tree. It is Susan's hope that these pieces be meaningful to both giver and receiver.I have recently given Jill the " Cherish" a figurine of a very pregnant woman..Cherish
I am joining Mary at the Little Red House for Mosaic Monday, which is usually active most Mondays. Please join in, there are lots of programmes that make the mosaics for you, Picasa, Picnik, Photoscape, Corel snapfire plus, Bighugelabs and I am sure there are many more........... I have used Picasa today.
